Pages on this site are researched from the practice's own work and Texas sources, drafted with software assistance, and reviewed under the practice's editorial standards. If you find an error, tell us and we will fix it.
A figure appears on this site only with the name of whoever published it and the date it was read. Market numbers are attributed to the company that published them rather than presented as ours. Statute and agency facts cite the section or the agency page. A number remembered from somewhere is not a source, and it does not go on the page.
Before a page goes up, three things are checked. Every figure against the source named beside it. Every statement about what is and is not done here against the limits set out below. And every example against the rule that nothing is presented as a client result unless the client has agreed to it in writing and the identifying detail has been removed. The deliverable layouts shown on this site are structure with no client figures printed on them, and they are examples rather than a promise.
A correction is made on the page itself rather than quietly somewhere else, and the date on the page moves when it does. If a figure turns out to be wrong it is corrected or removed, not softened. Tell us by phone and it gets fixed.
This is a tax and CFO practice. We are not a CPA firm and we hold no CPA license. We do not issue audited or reviewed statements, we do not perform attestation work, and we do not give an opinion on financial statements under GAAP. If a lender, an investor or a contract asks for any of those, we say so on the first call and point you to a licensed firm.
We set payroll up on a full service provider that you run, and we do not process payroll here. We do not represent taxpayers in an examination or an appeal, and when one lands we pull the records and answer the document request.
Texas names the preparation of tax returns, management advisory work and the preparation of financial statements without a report as work a person may do without a license, and reserves audits, reviews, compilations and any report expressing assurance to license holders. That is the whole line, and it is the reason the list above is short.
